WATERFALL VISITS DAILY: 9am - 3pm

THE HIKING TRAILS

 

Distance to falls: 1km Total (10 min walk)

Difficulty: Easy/Moderate

Wheelchair Accessibility: We regret that the falls are NOT wheelchair accessible,

as they are located deep in the mountain.

What to bring?

 

Cool clothing, bathing suit, natural bug spray,

sunscreen, hiking shoes, sandals,

towel, reusable water bottle.

HOW TO GET HERE?


From San José, take Route 2 through Cerro de la Muerte to Pérez Zeledón.

Then turn right to take Route 243 towards Dominical.

About 15 mins before Dominical, you'll find Platanillo de Barú.

After the church you will find a mechanical workshop with signs for Cascada Elysiana,
Eco Chontales, La Ceiba and La Rana Roja. 

There you'll take a right on the gravel road to San Juan de Dios another 5km

until you arrive at the entrance for Cascada Elysiana.

2WD accessible to lower parking lot,

4WD is best for accessing the upper parking lot closest to reception

Pets: Yes (if they're Cool like little Fonzies), there is a cleaning fee of $35

if the pet stays overnight.
